FAQs

– How is the usage license rate calculated? As a photograph's value increases as its exposure increases, the usage license is calculated based on indicators of the amount of exposure it will get: 1) where the images will be used 2) how long it will be used, and 3) the size of the company. This is a simple calculation that I am happy to include in the proposal for each client, which your agency is welcome to review and approve before we move forward.

– How will you manage this project? The first step will always be to discuss the needs of the client and the scope of the project. I am happy to defer to your direction or provide ideas of my own for your approval. We will agree on deadlines ahead of time and I will digitally deliver the images to you on or before the deadline (I have never missed a deadline!). I cannot emphasize enough how important customer service is to me. I will always ensure your clients are well taken care of whether they are present for the photo shoot or not. For shoots in which the product is shipped to me to produce the images in my location, I will notify you of when the product is received and ensure all images are delivered on time. For on-location shoots, rest assured that I am always prompt and well-prepared with the camera equipment and materials needed for a successful shoot. I will offer my expertise when needed and collaborate with the client, while being mindful that I am representing your agency's brand and standards.

– What will I need to do? For all the options except the on-location shoot, simply ship your product to me and I'll take care of the rest! For on-location shoots, we'll simply need to determine the place and time for the shoot and I will be there!

– Will I be responsible for prop rentals in stylized shots? For shoots that occur in my location, I have a collection of props that include silverware, dinnerware, ramekins, cutting boards, etc. I'd be happy to use them with no additional cost to you. All of the images you see on this page utilized my props. For on-location shoots, I will work with the props provided to me by your agency or the client.

– What happens after you complete the photo shoot? I will professionally edit the images and deliver the final full-resolution images to you via Dropbox on or before our agreed upon deadline.

– How does payment work? A 50% retainer fee is required before I can begin an assignment. The remaining balance is due upon receiving the proofs. All payments can be made via check or online via credit card using a secure checkout process.
